Local resident Rex Green will discuss how our city is addressing the shift to a “wellbeing economy” at the next luncheon meeting of the Hayward Rotary Club, Monday, Oct. 21, at 1074 B St.
Green represents the local affiliation of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance, that describes itself as, “a global collaboration of changemakers and disruptors questioning the status quo.”
Green has identified areas that Hayward is moving toward this goal by its efforts addressing homelessness, citizen involvement in planning, planting trees, neighborhood parks, well-stocked libraries, festivals and other events, and funding neighborhood projects.
His career covered work as an evaluation researcher, public health officer, and consultant on evaluation projects in the Bay Area. He is recently retired and is volunteering to spread the word about a well-being economy on behalf of the California hub of the international organization, the Wellbeing Economy Alliance.
