Integrating language development with career education is a key to building Hayward's workforce, and Hayward Rotarians will learn how that is being accomplished here when it hears from Chabot College's dean of language arts, Paul Pinza, at its luncheon meeting Monday, Dec. 1 at 1074 B St.
Pinza joined the college in 2023 after serving on various high school and statewide committees focused on English language development. At Chabot, the former high school principal oversees the library as well as academic programs in learning skills and six different language programs.
For Hayward Rotarians, he will discuss Chabot's efforts in developing the workforce of the future, including skills related to using generative artificial intelligence in the workplace.
